Eye Lift or Brow Lift... What's the Difference?

model

Eyelid surgery by Pearland plastic surgeon Dr. Robert Kratschmer is a relatively simple procedure that has the potential to be a complete transformation. Eyelid surgery, which can involve the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both, can often leave patients with a lot of questions. Many patients often consider whether their concerns would be better addressed by a Brow Lift.

What is Eyelid Surgery?

Although most patients pursue eyelid surgery to address cosmetic age-related concerns, such as sagging skin or wrinkles, others may undergo the surgery to correct inherited irregularities. Regardless of the cause, adults who are bothered by drooping or tired-looking eyes may benefit from eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, at our Pearland practice.  This procedure can also correct fat deposits that create a puffy appearance, as well as dark under-eye circles.

Do I need an Eye Lift or a Brow Lift?

Brow lift, or forehead surgery, rejuvenates the face by focusing more specifically on wrinkles of the forehead and a sagging or lowered brow. Brow lift surgery does not address fat deposits or any concerns related to the lower eyelids. Some patients may benefit from both brow and eyelid surgery.

Are there any non-surgical options?

Yes, a CO2 Micro Ablative procedure is a great alternative if you aren't quite ready for a surgical procedure.
