Lasts: About three months
Neuromodulators last the shortest amount of time of any injectable. They only temporarily immobilize muscle movement. Around 10 weeks or so is when most patients start to regain movement in their faces and start to see lines and wrinkles creeping back up.
Juvéderm, Restylane and Perlane
Lasts: About six to 12 months
Hyaluronic acid fillers like these can last a decent amount of time depending on the product used and where it is injected. When fillers are injected into areas of the face where there is a lot of movement, like the lips, the results doesn’t typically last as long compared to when it’s used in an area of the face where there is little or no movement (like the nose, an off-label use). Like most fillers, touch-ups are necessary.
Sculptra Aesthetic and Radiesse
Lasts: One to two years
Although different, the results of both Radiesse and Sculptra Aesthetic last the longest because they both cause collagen production in the skin, albeit in two different ways. Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, these are not reversible with an antidote and they do usually require a series of treatments to reach optimal correction.
