Look Stylish after Smartlipo Triplex / Tummy Tuck

Ah, winter.... the season for liposuction and tummy tucks!

Why?  Cooler temps = less swelling and more comfortable post-procedure garments.  Our post-surgery patients seem to love maxi dresses.  I see so many patients wear them after surgery, I actually started recommending them to other patients!

Not only are they comfortable, but they hide any bulky bandage, garment, or tummy tuck drain tubes.  One problem: Isn't that a summer dress?  Maybe, but I'm going to show you how to transition that surgery staple to something fashionable.  Yes, even for winter!

These outfits are perfect for any plastic surgery procedure to the midsection -- Smartlipo, Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty), Cellulaze, Thigh Lift or Liposuction.  Perfect for mild Pearland temps!

Actual Procedure Footage: Laser Sweat Gland Ablation

http://youtu.be/J8FuC-RkQTc

Filmed at Robert Kratschmer MD, Board Certified Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in Pearland TX

Transcript:

Dr. Robert Kratschmer: "Here we are using the Cellulaze handpiece to treat hyperhidrosis.  By going right underneath the skin after it has been anesthetized we can actually go in and breakdown a lot of the sweat glands and hopefully will get them to not produce so much sweat.

"You hear the laser going off and blasting all of the sweat glands. This procedure is very safe, it will tell us if it gets too hot; or if we aare not moving it fast enough it will stop the laser so we wont be able to harm the patient and the skin trauma is very minimal.

"Steve how are you feeling right now doing this?"

Patient: "Fantastic.  No pain, everything's fine."

Dr. Robert Kratschmer: "Just a little bit of stinging when we put in the tumescent solution but otherwise he's been doing great... hasn't felt a thing throughout the procedure."

Patient: "I'm pleasantly surprised, honestly."

Dr. Robert Kratschmer: "He was a little nervous when we started this off but he's been doing pretty well.

"You see the laser is now overheated in that area so we move it and it starts back up.  We are going to try to concentrate a little more energy here closer into the axilla. This is where more of the sweat glands are.

"It takes about.. for each side it has taken only about fifteen minutes or so to deliver the energy.  Actually, we are now complete.  That's it."

Best Colors to Make Your Skin Glow

By Amber Kratschmer, Chic Esthetiq Med Spa & Laser, Pearland TX

The better your skin looks, the better you look!  So how do you dress up your body to give your skin a healthy glow?  It's all about color!  The easiest way to start is to determine your skin tone; think of it as opposites attract.

Dark skin girls you are going to look best in colors on the warm end of the spectrum in any shade.  this includes pastels to brighter colors and rich, deeper tones as well, any shade of purple, yellow, pinks, gold, bronze, and copper.  You can also pull off winter white, orange and red in a very fabulous way.  Avoid: browns, blacks, and cool colors like blue, silvers, and gray.

Medium skin tone girls stick with brighter, deeper hues and jewel tones (deep, rich colors that resemble gems like emerald, rubies, etc.) that will really pop against your skin.  Avoid: browns, beiges, caramel, oranges and very pale pastels in any hue.

Olive skin gals you have it very easy.  You girls can pull off practically any color!  But if you really want a serious confidence boost the best color for you is pink.  It brings out your subtle undertones of red and gives you a great glow.

Fair skin with warm undertones.  (Freckles, chestnut, red, golden blond or strawberry blond hair.)  Earthy colors work best for you.  This includes any shade of brown and any shade of green.  Ivory, navy, gray, peaches, and rose will also work.  Avoid: very bright colors, neons, white and black.

Fair skin with cool undertones. (No color in your cheeks, ash blond, dark brown or black hair.)  The berry family and jewel tones flatter your skin.  Deep purples, strawberry, raspberry, emerald, and amethyst.  Avoid: metallic, white, black, neons, and lilac.
